For the last, ya know I don’t even remember when  began not ‘getting’  the new Gucci. I mean bravo for bringing the logo, the stripes and the iconic bit loafer and riding boot back but beyond that none of it made sense to me. Clearly, I wasn’t hip enough. But that’s neither here nor there. Enter the debut show for Sabato De Sarno. Now Gucci once again makes sense to me and probably many other GenXers who wore all of the thrift store Gucci looking crap back in the 90s and vowed never to do that ‘look’ ever again, hence the “Yeah Gucci is for kids” belief. Thank you De Sarno for bringing back an elegant yet very modern take on the emblematic fashion brand and making it your own. Also, huge thanks for the incredible ‘wader’ over the thigh tall boot situation. With the weather lately, much needed. Bravo Gucci.
