Ok, so anyone who knows me understands my obsession with beauty products. Having a life of sensitive skin and strange reactions, I’m a firm believer in try it first and see what happens. So, I was super thrilled when I learned about this skincare line Bibimbap as it was designed by an Equestrian with equestrians in mind. So a little reach out and follow on instagram and like magic the creator Lynn Mueller was happy enough to share with us and you her new product line.
What was in the package:
The Cleanser, The Healing Salve, The Serum, The Moisturizer and a Lip Treatment.
THE TRIAL
Cleanser $69
So, normally I don’t really use a cleanser (I know) only because it usually seems to be what dries out my face or causes irritation. I usually stick to a micellar water and a clarisonic brush down a few times a week. Having said that, I loved the way the cleanser smelled so I used it. It was a lovely mild gel to foam and it felt like it was stimulating my pores. Plus plus. The cleanser which is created to dissolve impurities and still maintaining your skin’s nutrients didn’t cause any irritation to my otherwise fussy skin and honestly it felt like it had truly cleaned the arena dust out. If I wasn’t so lazy, I’d try using it every day.

Glycerin: Humectant that helps to replenish hydration levels normally lost in the cleansing process.

Moisturizer $80
Having grown up with being allergic to everything from dust to alfalfa, I’ve gone through a tone of moisturizers. Some of the most expensive and those that boast natural ingredients only to find out I just lathered my face in perfume. The struggle is real. So I first tried a little on the inside of my wrist. For those of you with skin reactions this is usually a nice test to see how your body reacts to the product. I loved how it smelled. One thing Lynn Mueller, the creator of this brand, does swimmingly is to immerse your senses. The moisturizer was light and non greasy and no apparent reactions in over a week of use. I love it.

Serum $88
I love serums. I’m a firm believer in the complete regime. I was happy to find out that this serum was designed with aging in mind as most are of course and the environmental factors we as equestrians come in contact with. Sun, wind, dirt. The Bibimbap light weight serum contains a blend of natural source skin brighteners and age reversing Swiss Apple stem cells that address discoloration and cellular damage from these factors without the use of Hydroquinone. And did I mention it smells terrific!
Key Ingredients:
1 oz.
Arbutin: Extract of Bearberry plant that contains pigmentation and whitening agents. Protects skin from damage caused by free radicals and inhibits formation of melanin pigment.
Azelaic Acid: Naturally occurring dicarboxylic acid that reduces melanin production by inhibiting tyrosinase. Suppresses proliferation of abnormal melanin producing cells by reducing the rate of DNA synthesis.
MAP (Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate): Phosphate ester that is easily hydrolyzed to ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) in the skin by enzymes. Offers inhibitory effects on melanogenesis, promotes collagen synthesis, and prevents lipid peroxidation to maintain a youthful glow and plump, healthy skin.
Apple Stem Cells: Derived from a rare Swiss Apple that demonstrates the ability to delay chronological aging.
Healing Salve $86
I wasn’t sure what this was in the beginning. I just knew it felt great between my fingers and the scent took me straight to the spa. I instinctively put it on my red eczema spots left over from my Timothy hay reaction a week earlier and I’m not joking, it instantly soothed the itchy patchy ugly spots. I opened up the paperwork included with the package and read that the headling salve was designed for people like me! A week later, and my arms are healed. I’m someone who has dealt with this problem my whole life. Environmental, hormonal and stress will trigger it then it will go away again for years. Cortisone doesn’t really work on me anymore. My skin is like…forget it buddy I got over you when she was 16. So THANK YOU BIBIMBAP! Now, I’m not sure it’s the miracle for everyone but it worked on me so I’m thinking it probably doesn’t contain anything I’m allergic to which is rare. 🙂
WHAT IT DOES:

Borage Oil: Naturally occurring plant oil that helps to reduce itching and lesions, commonly used for treatment of inflammatory conditions including eczema, dryness, and hives. Bioflavonoids: Contain anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergy properties, Shown to help fight infection, free radical damage, viruses, and the common cold. Essential for effective utilization of Vitamin C in the body to heal and fight inflammation.
Lip Treatment $26
I have lip treatment tubes all over the barn, the house, the car. I’m a user. I love this one. It’s tingly and is designed to protect the lips from harsh environmental conditions and moisturizes and heals dry, chapped, peeling skin. Diminishes fine lines around the lip area, bonus!
